The Craft Room Maven Description
A handmade dream
I can't remember a time in my life that I haven't been creating. From making paper dolls at my Grandma's house when I was little, to learning how to sew on my Babcia's (Polish for Grandma) old foot-operated Singer sewing machine, and just recently learning how to crochet from a lovely lady at a mums-group after wanting to learn for 24 years (it's a long story). Creating and crafting is my passion. I love working with paper, card, fabric, embroidery, and wool.
I am a qualified primary school teacher. When I took time off to raise my children I began creating and crafting again in earnest. Every spare second (there's not many of those with 3 kids! ) is spent in The Craft Room (hence the shop name).
At the moment I am loving making items using vintage children's books that I source from second-hand stores, markets, charity shops and garage sales. I have a huge collection many of them that I can't bring myself to cut up!
I hope you enjoy my pieces as much as I enjoy making them.
