The Deck Cafe Lovedale

Terrible in so many ways and extremely disappointing. I have messaged you to give you the opportunity to respond but prices, food and service was terrible. Prices do not reflect quality or quantity of food, kids meals are so limited, tasteless and unhealthy with no consideration for dairy or gluten intolerances forcing me to order two bowls of chips for two of my five children these were not nutritious or even able to be enjoyed as they weren't cooked through at all. Ironically a beer battered fish that was an adult size was the same size as the kids fish and chip meal that I was able to order for one of my children that could order off the kids menu. Also the chips on the adult fish meal were not cooked through. Lasagne ordered for one adult was freezing cold in the middle but had a decent salad so reasonably good value but still cold. Steak burger was ordered for one of my children $28 soggy and full of onion. Worst part was we had another customers dog tethered to our booked table. We our dog lovers but wouldn't even bring our much loved pooch to lunch let alone having to deal with someone else's. Worst part is we had 7 kids and six adults, you charged us all a fortune and the meals were rubbish. Wouldn't recommend anyone go there with so many better options both in Newcastle and the hunter to choose from. My parents felt so guilty they paid for us all which is an embarrassment to your establishment and to us. Not good enough!
