Consistently good food, beer and atmosphere. Great daily specials, interesting beer and cool taxidermy - what more can you want from a local

Bad service and food served not worth money. No bar service upstairs and if you had a crowd it would mean multiple trips up and down the stairs. I paid $16 for 6 small ribs full of fat and nothing else. No salad, no chips. My friends had fish and salad , which was lettuce leaves only. No one cleaned food away for over an hour. Worst lunch experience I have had in years. K

Amazing selection of beers on tap and good food from a good menu. Great beer garden. Plenty of screens to watch whatever sport you're into

Very noisy venue with a vast quantity of craft beers on tap, but highly priced. We have had reasonable meals there in the past. However when we were there three weeks ago, the two hanger steaks we ordered weren't rare, they were raw. The wood fired pizza was excessively charred. All in all it wasn't a good experience.

Amazing selection of craft beer with over 50 taps. If you are looking for a bargain get the craft beer of the week and there are special meal deals every night. The jalapeño burger is awesome and if you don't like it spicy ask for no jalapeños. This place can be busy and staff to a good job trying to clean plates away. If you want pub food or pizza you can order at any bar with food to be picked up from upstairs and pizza picked up from downstairs. The beer garden out the back is awesome and family friendly along with the bistro area.

Pub is nice but had my favourite chicken parma and was quite disopointing, little sause and melted cheese wasn't hot

New menu... not fit for a dog.... This is my local and I have been taking family and friends there since moving here. Last night i took my partner, ordered the jerk chicken - the only thing jerk about it was us (and the table next to us who happened to order the exact same meal) it was bland, dry and the whole meal was cold. Spoke to the manager about it before writing my review as I wanted to give them the opportunity to address it (I come from hospitality management background and I would want to fix it and try to prevent a bad review). Unfortunately the teenage manager had zero problem resolving skills, and offered us a free beer for the $50 meal that was not eaten (everything we ordered was inedible and we sent everything back) whilst discussing the issues with the teenage manager the table next to us said yes we agree the meal is not good and inedible, they were completely ignored, disgraceful... during our next 20 minutes there we heard a two way radio conversation between a male and a female, with the family saying make sure you don't give them their money back. I am so sad as it's such an awesome pub... we won't be back and I will be spreading the bad review

I'm a regular to the dog and love the place, the decors been up scaled and I love the food. What annoys me is:

1. When given change It's only in dollar coins, I don't play the pokies!!!
2. I love wine at home but when I drink I like 1 quality one and a quaffer or two. Seems the shelves in the bottleshop are only stocked (If stocked at all) with quality wine $16+++++, hence I end up going down the road.

You've got a great place but don't try to use your customers we're not stupid. There are other places!!!

My new local. Excellent food specials all week long!! A very family friendly pub. There are ALWAYS prams about in the backyard.

Great selection of beers on tap but unfortunately the food has taken a serious nose dive in both quality and quantity.
Having had the $19 roast dinner before and looking forward to it again on this occasion I was seriously underwhelmed with the school dinner that confronted me. To be fair there was a decent portion of lamb on my plate it was however over cooked and it's accompaniments left a lot to be desired, one measly roast potato does not a roast dinner make.
2/3 potatoes minimum plus enough gravy to not have the burnt Yorkshire pudding taste like Ghandi's sandal.
Then there is the issue of sauce. On collection of the plates my fellow victim enquired about the possibility of some mint sauce/jelly for the roast Lamb in question. Needless to say there was none available. Quick tip for whoever has taken over in the kitchen as I'm not convinced it's who was in charge the last time I was here. When it comes to roast dinners, lamb=mint, beef=horseradish and pork=apple.
Please management of the DOG pub don't let your establishment slip. It was well done when you took over so just keep it going at that level.

Went for a nice quiet meal but the venue was filled with builders working at 7.30 at night. Manager told us if we didn't like it to move somewhere else. Thanks guys

DOG......shame on you.....$26 for a "half rack" of ribs is an absolute scam. I only got 3 ribs and a handful of chips. I am not sure what type of animal you are using but I don't know any mammals with 6 ribs each side.

The jalapeño burger is awesome and if you don't like it spicy ask for no jalapeños. This place can be busy and staff to a good job trying to clean plates away. If you want pub food downstairs is for you but if you are looking for something nicer upstairs Duke is where you want to go. Read the menu as some items like steaks are required to be picked up from upstairs. The beer garden out the back is awesome and family friendly along with the bistro area.

A group of us were at the DOG on Wednesday for trivia and a meal .
There were mix ups with the orders for the majority of us.
We had to order our meal upstairs and Pick up downstairs.
Again more mixups , burgers instead of pies . Wrong type of burgers. Back upstairs , reordered. Staff were very apologetic ,back downstairs to pick up Generally Poor quality food.
Very disappointing . I think they have too many things on the menu and it's too hard for the kitchen to keep up demand. Less could be more. The night was saved by Neil the quizmaster, very entertaining even though there were microphone issues. A great spot with room for improvement.

Popular pub on a Friday night. Good is quite good at reasonable prices. Good selection of beers. Plenty of dining seats.
