Thanks all who came to the Coles Little Shop Swap Meet.
Some very happy campers, both young and young at heart, who completed their sets. A nice turnout with 21 people present.
It'll give me many hours of entertainment as I use the miniatures with Lego and action figures for toy photography. Like Death Star Comedy Club to see what I get up to when I'm not at the cafe (okay, it's also what I get up to at the cafe).
... If Coles do a Series 2 we'll do it again, whenever that will be.

The Coles Little Shop Swap Meet is tomorrow! Check out the event here:
The event was featured in the Herald on Friday: https://www.theherald.com.au/…/the-litt le-shop-of-plastic-…/
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE LEGO STORMTROOPER IN THIS PHOTO
... Shaun Schuetz was an American living and working in Taiwan. As part of his job he was often traveling around the world. He is also in the 501st Legion. On one of his trips to Sydney he went out of his way to get up to Newcastle to visit The Empire and meet the local gang.
When he was here I swapped him my Lego stormtrooper for the one that was used in the photo in today's Topics. This stormtrooper had traveled the world with Shaun. Shaun would take photos of it in planes and various destinations. And send the photos back home for his kids to see.
The stormtrooper I swapped him got to on these travels. And his one got to stay in Newcastle, in a display cabinet for a while, but then as my little sidekick for photographing with all sorts of miniatures. And now he's been in the Newcastle Herald!

From 10am to 1pm, Saturday 15th September, we are hosting an Imperial Recruitment Day.
Is your kid Star Wars crazy? Would having photos with a bunch of stormtroopers and other characters from the Star Wars movies sound like the sort of thing they would love? Then get on down to The Empire Coffee Co on Saturday 15th September!
But it's not just for kids. If you're over 18, heck, if you're 40+ and you saw the original movie back in 1977, come on down! Whether it's for the photo op, or to find out how to build a sweet set of your own stormtrooper armour or if joining a group like the 501st Legion sounds like a fun thing to do (and it is!) then you can talk to one of the members of the Southern Cross Garrison - 501st Legion one on one to find out what is involved.

This Saturday there will be music, saber combat lessons, saber demonstrations and as if it couldn't be even more fun, we'll be turning it up to 11 with a t-rex lightsaber battle!
Be sure to join the event: https://www.facebook.com/events/200015637 377318/ and it kicks off at 10am this Saturday.

This Sunday we're having a "Coles Little Shop Swap Meet" at The Empire! From 1pm to 2pm. If it runs over that's fine. But it could be the chance to finish off your collection if you've got doubles (and triples) to swap!
