Surprisingly great!!! I will definitely come back. Owners are down to earth very professional but caring and makes sure you feel home rooms have all different styles but very comfortable. Loved it!!! 💜💚💜💚

This place is great. Cosy, quiet warm atmosphere, open fire port & chocolate. Can't go wrong.

Unsatisfactory. Restaurant is now called Blue Jax. Waited ages for meals to arrive and only 3 tables including us on a Friday evening. Waiter squashed us together unnecessary. Meals below average and boring selection. Have been here several times in the past with some good times but mostly dissapointed. Decided to give it one last go but failed my expectations. Better meals at the local pubs in town. I won't be back.

I was in Mount Victoria for the weekend with a friend. We ate here and were thoroughly impressed by the service with the hosts making us feel incredibly welcome with an almost family feel. The restaurant was charming with a log fire and an intimate feel. Tad pricey but the food was excellent. Will be recommending and returning next time.

Excellent service and a wonderful atmosphere. I enjoyed every moment at this traditional styled hotel.

Just returned returned from the George. I took my mum away for a night for her 86th bday. We loved it. We enjoyed curling up with a glass off wine in the library in front of the fire reading. Our room was a twin and very nice. Ensuite small but very clean. Beds lovely. The rooms were nice and warm. We dined in the restaurant and enjoyed our meal. Staff are lovely and made my mum feel very special on her big day. Very very friendly. Lots of locals were coming to the restaurant which is a good sign. Especially in the middle of winter. The history of this special place was marvelous and adds to the charm. I hope the George enjoys it's 125 anniversary. Thanks.
