Always good service and price

We have bought a lot of products over 10 years from The Good Guys at Caringbah and have always had decent service and the products have been good.
Some of the floor sales staff are, yes, a bit 'old school salesy' from time-to-time - and one or two do need some refreshers on customer etiquette, centricity and focusing on customer and not commission, BUT it is a place where 'haggling' is acceptable and at the end of the day to them its part of the job and 'The Good Guys Sales Culture' I suppose. Updated training would probably help though...
With that said, today I had to ring up because the Samsung fridge we bought last year has been freezing up so I booked a technician to service it. The technician arrived earlier than I feared, he was quick, efficient and helpful and sorted the freezing issue with a new part and a steam clean of the drain.
For the life of me I could not find my receipt but I called up and Susie was very helpful and emailed it straight over. All sorted.
So, another great experience - thanks Good Guys... and I'm sure we'll be back to tussle with the sales guys soon... :)

I recently purchased a fridge, washing machine and microwave from the good guys. I got the delivery, installation and package removal as well. It was the best! There was no stressing about getting it in the house or hooking it up, definitely doing it again.

We Went into the store to buy a fridge, found one we liked (Westing House) the sales person said he would check to see if they had one in stock. After a couple of min he came back and said they had it in stock. We paid for it and delivery. When the fridge arrived I questioned that it wasn’t boxed? The delivery guys said that’s because we bought from the shop floor! At not stage did the salesman discuss that we would be getting stock from the shop floor. There was also a ding on the fridge door! Sent the good guys an email and of course no reply. Won’t be buying anything from them in the future!

No customer service at all. A big lie.

I bought a TV recently from here and I was told I could claim anytime. I go to the website to claim and it says the offer is not valid. A month has passed between the purchase and the attempted claim date. Unfortunately the claim centre can't help. However, the store or the person selling the TV didn't make an attempt to tell me there was a window in which I needed to quickly act to get my 200 dollars back. In fact, I was told I can claim online and that's it. The manager says they "check the box" by displaying some fine prints around the store.
Very bad experience and a typical we can't do anything answer. Giving incorrect details during purchase is not the way to do business. Definitely not dealing with good guys from now on.

Great prices and quick friendly service. Even carried my purchases out to the car for me.

Have never had trouble at GG Caringbah . Great service. My daughter practically furnished her unit from there. Unfortunately she has had a dreadful experience lately ordering online and having to deal with Chatswood store. Absolutely NO communication thru so called concierge service trying to get oven delivered and installed. Pathetic customer service Chatswood. Well done Caringbah in the past.

Salesperson in TV department walked off when I gave him Harvey Norman's price on a Hisense 50 inch TV , l thought very unprofessional, we purchased TV at Harvey Norman and would have purchased at GG as had good previous experience.

No customer service plus when they finally come to help they try to sell something we don't want. Then they disappear to serve another customer without excusing himself. He lost a buyer in us so we brought at Harvey Normans...

Should have looked at the reviews before dealing with the Good Guys, they are ok for when you are buying something but then when trying to arrange installing it's another story, be careful they want money before they will even quote! Then you never hear from them, I had to follow up with many phone calls with everyone saying a different story, still waiting on installation, it has been 2 weeks hopefully soon!!!
Very disappointing

I would strongly suggest that you do not use this store especially if you actually expect to receive what you paid for. All very good when taking $10,000+ in orders over the past six months but when things go wrong and their courier loses a parcel then nobody interested in helping. Having been shunted off to deal with the Courier directly and getting precisely nowhere with three calls (all with twenty minute waiting listening to a computer telling me how much they value my call). After then insisting that The Good Guys find a solution instead of giving a list of reasons why they can't help they offer only an abrasive no can do philosophy. After insisting on speaking to a Manager after three days of broken promises and non returned phone calls I was connected to the Customer Prevention Officer (Diane) who reduced the service levels to previously unplumbed depths of "can't help not my problem dialogue) and when I insisted on a more positive solution she hung up on me. In my opinion these people simply should not be allowed to trade in 2017 and you shop there at your own peril!

Don't respond to emails, don't answer the phone. The most useless good guys in Sydney. Don't bother with them
