THE HOMESTEAD is the original farmhouse of the property The Cedars in Barrengarry (Kangaroo Valley) NSW built in 1930, renovated in 1980, and reinvigorated in 2012-15. The original outbuilding and underground well date from late 1800s. The eclectic collection of building material and furnishings include antique, old, new, recycled, and reinterpreted items collected from the property, the district and overseas, particularly featuring cedar furniture where possible. Located on five rural acres including manicured gardens, vegetable and herb gardens, and "girt" by original rainforest featuring century old cedar trees. THE HOMESTEAD is surrounded by Morton National Park, pastoral surrounding rural properties in the foreground and nestled amongst the majestic sandstone escarpment. THE HOMESTEAD is located towards the end of a rural road and provides a quiet, peaceful farm experience; yet is easily accessible only 10 minutes by car to Kangaroo Valley, 35 minutes to Berry and Bowral, and 2 hours from Sydney or Canberra.
