At The Hand Plane, we build home decor items as well as small furniture, and custom woodwork. We supply handcrafted items to local business and craft shows

I am a young enthusiastic woodworker. During the day, I am a flower grower in the scenic Niagara region. In my spare time I produce wooden signs and décor items, supplying garden centers, and featuring my work in art and craft shows. I was taught traditional woodworking methods using hand planes and hand saws to create intricate joinery such as the dovetail joint. Although I now use production tools such as table saws and routers, I will always use and appreciate the old fashioned hand tools that are so simple yet versatile.
