The Hills Ses Description

Who are we?
The Hills Unit of the NSW State Emergency Service is a volunteer organisation of more than 150 members, all of whom volunteer their time to help their community in emergencies. Our main role is helping the community prepare for and respond to storms and floods. Every year in Australia, storms cause more damage than any other natural disaster.

Each local Government area in NSW is required to maintain a State Emergency Service Unit. Across the state there are 9, 000 volunteers in over 230 Units. These Units are grouped into 18 Regions.
