The Hungry Monkey

I was never a fan of pancakes until I had the Hungry Monkey pancake. In my experience, pancakes are often doughy and quite boring but the HM pancake was like eating a cake for breakfast. A literal pan-shaped cake. It was life changing. It has ruined me for other pancakes.

I enjoyed my southwestern chicken sandwich and the crumb chicken sandwhich was good as well. The battered chips are delicious. The kids meals were a good value and my kids ate the hamburger and chicken strips all gone.

There is an embarrassing abundance of brunch places in Sydney - but this is an absolute gem of a cafe down in Kiama. I was down for an errand and decided to stop by after reading all the wonderful reviews online. I’m glad to report the Hungry Monkey did not disappoint - the menu is inventive and puts a fresh spin on many brunch classics like eggs Bennie and hot cakes, while being ridiculously delicious at the same time. I had the royale burger with sweet potato fries after reading the rave reviews and hands down, the best chips I’ve ever had. Despite being busy, the customer service was impeccable. Five stars, and such a shame they’re a bit of a way from Sydney or I would be here every weekend.

Very friendly staff and delicious food. The hot chocolate is highly recommended! They also forfill wishes, like changing the party, which is quite nice to create a unique burger.

Excellent food, friendly, efficient service and a fun night for all. What's not to love. It's "ordinary" food with some really interesting twists. Even though I only had a mouthful - the mousse is to die for.

Im really impressed with the staff, the service and the food. It's busy, full and the staff from start to finish have been polite, cheerful and extremely attentive. The timing was perfect and food beautiful. Thanks for a great experience to my Saturday. Keep it up :)

Great eatery around Kiama. could do with a bit more space since it is so good. My vegetarian wife loved the burger which is rare. Highly recommended. Would go there again to eat if i am around. Food was so good I forgot to take the picture. Sorry abt that.

After Anzac day service we ordered on the phone.

We ordered Royale Burger with sweet potato chips and Chicken Breast Salad.

Hubby loved the burger said it was really tasty. Only thing he wanted the sweet potato chips to be more crispy.

I had the Chicken Breast salad. Absolutely yummy is a great size. Could only eat half and then ate rest later.

Staff were super friendly and helpful.

Even on a busy day service was quick!

Unfortunately was a bit pricy due to 10% public holiday surcharge

We had brunch here during our vacation at Kiama. Nice fresh ambience. Friendly staff. Quick service. Enjoyed the food too.
