The Lbw Trust

About The Lbw Trust

The LBW Trust is working to level the global playing field in education. We currently support the tertiary and vocational education of more than 2500 deserving young students in developing, , cricket-playing nations.

The Lbw Trust Description

The LBW Trust provides scholarships to economically disadvantaged students in developing, cricket playing countries to help them complete their tertiary education. Our hope is that, when they graduate, these young men and women will have the opportunity to play an important part in improving the future of their communities and nations.

LBW stands for Learning for a Better World and also reflects the cricketing origins of the organisation. We draw on the generosity of the Australian and international cricket community with our ambition to use the worldwide appeal of cricket to make a difference in the sphere of education.

The LBW Trust was formed in Sydney in 2006. New commitments in 2014 will see the Trust support over 1500 students through partnerships with local institutions in India, Pakistan, Nepal, South Africa, Uganda, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.

The LBW Trust is a registered charity.
