The Lock-Up Description
The Lock-Up is multi-disciplinary contemporary arts centre and hub for creative thinking and doing. Its program includes exhibitions, events, site specific installations and performances, residencies and a variety of activities designed to engage the public.

Free and good fun for kids
Grabbed a quick coffee, looks to be a good place but I was only there for a few minutes. Would like to try it again some day I am back in Newcastle.

Love the simple art exhibitions they have on. A fantastic, edgy art addition to the city.
A truly fascinating part of Newcastle's history, the lock up has a number of immaculately kept former prison rooms. The exhibitions held there are also worth going for alone.
