The London Hotel

Cant say much about the pub but the restaurant is definately one to avoid.
Bought an overpriced steak ($44), it was poorly cooked.
When i was asked (i didnt initially complain) i told them it was overdone.
After arguing with me they said they would bring out another one.
So to teach me a lesson they cooked it even worse.
My friends meals were not highly rated either.

Disappointed to have to give this hotel a bad review but had gone here to watch the rugby and specifically asked the bar man when we arrived if they were showing the lions tour match who informed us they were so settled in and watched the Australia Scotland match first while having a few drinks and food only to be told by the manager when the lions match came on that they weren't putting on the commentary as they usually only put it on for Sydney or Australia games. This was a decision made out of total disregard for customers given that we had been there all day spending money and the other 20 or so customers at the time we're all looking at the lions match. What happens to customer service. I would seriously advice the owner to teach their staff to be more customer orientated especially when it wasn't going to inconvenience anyone else. Such a shame as a very nice place other than this.

Whilst I've only been there once, it was a night to remember. The staff are great, and friendly. Plenty of seating and drinking options. You won't get dehydrated here...

Love this classic old pub! Nice to find a traditional pub with a good choice of beers that plays the footy! Also love the balcony that has bar stools outside, great spot to people watch and get views of the Harbour Bridge

Nice pub. Little restaurant that has really good food. Prices aren't cheap, but food is good abd service is nice.

Good: Staff are friendly, food is pretty good, location is convenient and central. Bad: food is very overpriced if it's not a weekly special. If I want to pay over $40 for a steak I'll go to Rockpool or Kingsley's.
