People say it's hard to survive in retail. I just walked into your Manly store with the intention of walking out with a new chair. A chair I probably can't afford and definitely don't need, but you know, I'm an impulsive idiot. So I sit on the chair I like and imagine it in my life, this gives me some small amount of joy so I think stuff the expense, you deserve it. Noticing a small dent in one of the arms I ask the lady if she might be able to do me a price on this chair, given that it's slightly damaged. I tell her I'm ready to pay and walk away right now. Nope. I couldn't walk away with it as she wouldn't be able to replace it until Sunday, a whole 6 days away. I wasn't looking for half price on the chair because of a small dent! But a reasonable price for a flawed product. 20% off maybe? Nope. You may do very well in the shop, but that's $1000+ of my money you just let walk out the door. I should thank you though, I don't usually get that smack of common sense before throwing money at things I want (but rarely need).
