The Moorings Resort

The Moorings Timeshare. An old favorite still good. Nicely kept resort. Grounds well cared for. Units clean well presented and comfortable. Great beaches -Clubs- walks- Mogo Zoo etc nearby. A well stocked IGA at the entrance to tbe resort with coffee shop, bottleshop and restaurant makes this a great place to stay. .

Pancakes and all-sorts of tips were great. My dealings with Reception were exemplary. All round excellent

Classical example of 'you get what you pay for'. Stayed in a 'phase 3' unit in July (deluxe?... don't think so.) Paint almost entirely peeled off the door jamb is your welcome, key very difficult to turn in lock, huge gap under the door, dripping tap, very low, uncomfortable lounge seating, blown, broken light in fridge and requests to have it removed/replaced ignored.. the power switches were thrown several times...and that concerned us. The hoses were incorrectly attached to the washing machine so our laundry rinsed super hot. We eventually changed hoses ourselves when no help came on the day of our request. The microwave is on top of the fridge, too high and quite dangerous and the shower is in a very high sided spa bath, so if you are small or frail it's a real challenge.
Bateman's Bay and the Tomakin area are beautiful and certainly worth a visit. The Moorings off season in certainly reasonable but we would not stay there again.

I've been coming here for nearly 2 decades, for good reason... It's a good place.
It's quiet, friendly, spacious, in a good location, has plenty to do and is reliable. You can hire a boat and go fishing for only $20. The local club is a lot of fun. Tennis, pool, spa and catch and release fishing. There are beaches just up and down the road too.
Just love it.

They charge you for every thing. You get 1 roll of toilet paper and the rest is your responsibility. They charge you 10.00 to use the wifi and it is only available in the clubhouse and they have security come in and kick you out at 10pm. No A/C in any room. They claim you don't need it but it does not cool off until 2 am some nights. No house keeping either. Very poor resort. Also very run down. Holes in the wall everywhere. See pictures.

Relaxed holiday resort on the tomakin river. Generous 2br units incl kitchens make family holidays affordable

Great location and relaxed friendly atmosphere. Rooms clean and well maintained. Cross ventilation catches the evening breeze so no need for air con.
