I always travel out to see my family and usually grab a nice drink from here on my way through
Except tonight was my brothers 18th.
He and his girlfriend went up to purchase some alcohol as newly 18 year olds (we know how exciting that is)
They were refused service as my brother did not have ID (fair enough)
He went home to get ID and came back, and showed it
Service still refused
Showed his bank card.
Service still refused. Asked to show other forms of ID so came home to get passport.
To save the hassle, I went and purchased the alcohol myself.
Mind you I was treated so lovely and not asked for ID. I guess it’s easy for people to ‘stereotype’ young adults these days.
Pretty disappointed, probably shouldn’t have gone back and purchased more alcohol but didn’t want to ruin his night.

Stopped here for lunch, the outside was your typical country pub, inside was the same, but the food was delicious. Would definitely come back.

Great food at good prices. Specials add to the value. Beer good. Friendly staff.

Nice place to have a couple of drinks at. Friendly bar staff, country style service. Motorbike riders are more than welcome there.

For a no where pub it's not the worst place I've visited. Food from bistro is eatable and not going to wow or kill you.
Good for a stop for quick drink and bite to eat.

Lovely Sunday lunch.

Could do with a renovation.
