The Old Bakery Kangaroo Valley Description

The Old Bakery (circa 1886)

Spend a few days in the centre of Kangaroo Valley at the heritage listed Old Bakery situated within the village historical precinct. This stand-alone building includes the original scotch baking oven which was in operation from 1887 to 1970. Great care has been taken to preserve this part of the building and a few of its original bakery artefacts.
Comprising four, truly lovely spaces : kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and a romantic verandah, The Old Bakery is close to everything.

We have free Wifi.

We are only 100m to The Friendly Inn, cafes, restaurants and shops. Opposite the community hall, Osborne Oval (the show-ground) and the local swimming pool. Proximity to restaurants and cafes offering a diverse choice in cuisine and some use fresh local produce.

Walk on our village pathway westward to the historical Hampden Bridge (2kms) and the Pioneer Museum. Head east to be among the rolling hills of local dairy farms. Kayak or canoe down to Bendeela on the fabulous Kangaroo River. Or just sit on the veranda and take in the magnificent mountain views of our naturally beautiful village and valley.
