The Outback Lodge @ Manly

This room is a very DIRTY shoe box that I had payed $158 per night lucky i only stayed 1 night in this room and checked out as the cutlery still had food on them from the last person and the floors were not even swept or moped , like how hard is it to clean a room honestly!!! The first night i stayed here was great good apartment for good price but after the first night got changed into a shoe box of a room for a much higher price!!! The manager and cleaner should be ashamed of this room they changed me into!!!

Loved our accommodation in Manly, here at The Outback Lodge.

Beautifully decorated and our room (Apartment 1405) had a lovely aspect overlooking the quiet residential street. Having said that, it's only a couple of streets back from the beach and only 10 or so minutes walk from Manly Wharf.

Super friendly staff too, so we will definitely be back again soon for a longer stay.

Budget accomodation a short walk to the beach. In a room where the ceiling tapered, felt cramped and didn't have a ironing table- had an iron just nowhere to use it- on the bed maybe..., when staying over for a business conference that's worth a whole star.

Cosy. We were lucky to get a park. Great value for money.

I just worked there for about 2 months. And I can say that after what I saw there I'm never going to sleep in a room there and I advise no one to book a room there . They are using the same blanket cover without washing it again again and again.... Imagine you are going to book a room there and using the same blanket where already 50 other people slept with it before. That is unhygienic and so ugly. Also the pillows are older than my grandma. For Shez everything has to be perfect, without spending any money for it. From the outside the outback lodge has a really beautiful paint but the rooms are ugly as hell. Also before I left work we had in one room bed bugs and she was talking with us housekeepers that it was our fault. I already worked at so many places but I can say that these were my worst 2 month every and I can say if you're a Backpacker or student do not even start to work there because she is not paying you well and you have to work really hard for nothing. I was thinking about to call farework but I hope she is going to read it and changes something really fast.
And be aware in the interview she told me that she is going to pay me 17 $ but she payed me 15$, after a few weeks, if you are good at work she is paying you 1-2$ more but if you are working to many hours she decided to pay me 15$ again. Sometimes it is more and sometimes it is less.

Very nice comfortable apartments​, quiet location in a residential neighborhood.

This is a lovely little lodge right in the heart of Manly. It is literally a 3-4 minute walk to the beachfront and a 7-10 minute walk to the restaurants and cafes in the heart of the town.

My wife, daughter and I really enjoyed our stay here. The room itself, whilst simple, was ok and the bed was comfortable and clean. They need to do something about the really bright light coming through the windows at night, this doesn't make for an easy sleep.

The price was really competitive and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, we arrived late in to the evening (9pm) and Shez arranged for a cot to be in our room ready to put our 5 month old daughter straight to sleep after her first ever flight. This was awesome!

We would definitely consider staying here again.

Nice and neat place with a friendly owner. Our room was supplied with a small kitchen. The bathroom is a shared one. Poor wifi connection upstairs in the rooms.
