The Pie Tin

Words can't even begin to explain how delicious their pies are... Their Sweet Roast Duck pie and their Peanut Butter Chocolate pie are among two of the best pies I have ever eaten. The subtle sweet of the maple syrup coupled with the rich gravy and duck meat in the duck pie was amazing. The sweetness of the chocolate top of the PB&C pie combined with the slight saltiness of the peanut butter cream filling, and the crumbly base is the best way to end a meal! Definitely will head over to Pie Tin again!

I've been here many times over the years, and I've always been very satisfied with the amazing artisan savoury and dessert pies they create here. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. Cosy place to visit.

Always a good spot to grab a bite. The pies are made fresh and they usually toss up the types of pie on their menu. The kumara fries are excellent - well worth the wait while they fry them hot. If you come here just before closing, you can usually get discounts on their remaining pies.

Nice beef brisket pie. Generous size and a lovely fresh salad on the side. Took away two slices of pumpkin pie for later! Didn't need more to eat after the pies for lunch. Not too crowded.

I love the atmosphere and sweet pies here. They always have so many to choose from and the selection rotates. A total gem in Newtown. The pie slices are a bit pricey, but usually I split one with a friend because they're quite massive. I've never tried the savoury pies because they're not my thing but they usually have quite a few selections on offer there too.

BEST SAUSAGE ROLL EVER!!! Great selection of pies and deserts. Fantastic atmosphere in a historic building just 20m off the main drag. Staff are excellent and very friendly. Prices are great for the quality of the food. Free water for patrons on the shelf inside.

Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Everything is amazing. The pie flavours rotate daily so it's always interesting to go to the counter to pick. I love the sweet potato fries and the dessert pies. Service is bubbly and friendly. Location is well situated and secluded.

Typical of most of the best places in Newtown, the Pie Tin is just off of king street and has a great combination of atmosphere, generous food servings and great service. From lunch time onward, this place is always busy. Sweet and savoury creations on offer or try your luck blending a slice of sweet pie into a thick shake - yum!

Probably one of my favorite places to eat in Sydney! Unique pies with sides (kumera fries are the best). Dessert pies are also excellent. Prices have been going up steadily though!

Great savoury and sweet pies with massive sides available. My standard is the duck and cointreau or pulled pork with a double side of sweet potato.
The sweet pies never disappoint. Treat yo-self and try one of the cake shakes.

These are some of the best pies in Sydney. Have them to eat in or take them for a picnic in the park, you can't go wrong. There are so many great options available here, but they're all delicious. Not a bad option for a hangover cure either!
