The Racket Club is a Licensed All Ages venue purpose built for touring artists and provides the opportunity for young music enthusiasts to see their favorite bands in a safe, comfortable environment.

The venue is based within Broadmeadow District Tennis Club only a 5-min walk from Broadmeadow Train Station whilst on most major Newcastle Bus Routes.

The capacity of the venue is 800. Over 18 ticket holders will have access to the bar, smoking and gaming areas and will be able to watch a band whilst having a drink at the back of the auditorium. Under 18 ticket holders will be only allowed within the 'mosh-pit' area in-front of the stage. Alcohol will not be able to be consumed in the 'Mosh-pit' area.

**FAQ**

So I am Under 18, can I come to a gig at the Racket Club?

Yes you can. You obviously will not be able to drink alcohol but you are welcome to come into the 'Mosh Pit' area. If you are under the age of 15 - you must come with a guardian over the age of 21.

I am over the age of 18 and would like to have a drink when at a show.

Totally cool. You will be able to enter the general pub area where there is a smoking & gaming area as well as a bar with the cheapest drink prices around Newcastle. There is a second bar located within the auditorium where you can have a drink & watch the acts performing. You won't be able to take your drink into the area in-front of the stage - so you will just have to finish off your beverage before going in for a dance. If you are drinking - please catch public transport; Broadmeadow train station is only a 5 min walk away whilst the venue is located on most major Newcastle bus routes.

Why is it called the Racket Club?

The venue is located at Broadmeadow District Tennis Club. . . . where they use Rackets to play Tennis whilst we make a 'Racket' inside with live bands. . . um. . . . get it?
