The Ridge Retreat is set on 3 acres atop a ridge and amongst beautiful, secluded natural bush and gardens. The accommodation on offer is a fully self-contained two-bedroom apartment on the lower level of our two-story country house which sleeps up to four people.

ABOUT THE ACCOMMODATION
With stunning views and the tranquillity of the lush hinterland, it’s hard to believe you are less than 15 minutes’ drive from vibrant Port Macquarie with its beaches and fabulous activities. Staying at the Ridge Retreat is the best of both worlds if you are after a quiet secluded stay but wanting to be near to a vibrant regional town with lots of activities on hand. We are even nearer to charming rural town of Wauchope and its key attraction Timbertown just 7 minutes’ drive away

The apartment has its own private entrance and has one bedroom with a queen bed and the other bedroom with a double bed.

There is a large comfortable lounge room in the apartment with big TV, DVD player and music system including a record player with some great 1980’s vinyl, fully equipped kitchen /diner and private bathroom. All linen is provided and there is also free WiFi, tea, coffee and a light breakfast included. One undercover garage spot is available and plenty of other outdoor parking available on the property.

The accommodation also has a private outdoor Jacuzzi where you are literally sitting amongst the bush setting with views of the mountains. It’s a great place to unwind and watch the stunning sunsets.

The emblem of The Ridge Retreat is a Double Barred Finch and when you stay you'll understand why. The Mid-North coast of NSW has a great variety of bird life and in particular the sweet little double-barred finches have taken up residency and can always be found around the bird feeder. Watching the bird life is a delight and incredibly relaxing with up to 33 species visiting the property throughout the year.

Most afternoons, a group of kookaburras sit on an old hills hoist waiting for a feed and along with the prolific bird life there is a family of kangaroos which visit regularly.
