Delicious meals and a really friendly dining room. The mushroom bruschetta was delicious! Staff are attentive and it would be good for couples or small groups. There is also a room upstairs for larger group.

Spoil your senses without spending a fortune! Tuesday night is "Rump and Red" night at the warm inviting classy yet casual Royal Oak. Somehow the grilled to perfection steak (my choice medium rare with bernaise sauce and chips) plus fabulous glass of quality house red seems sòoooo luxurious for $21. Must be the crisp white table cloths and crackling fireplace!

Great osso buco, so so veggies, very overpriced and stuck or mother's group in a dark back room when there was plenty of room in the nice light areas with other patrons... Plus the disabled toilet is insufficient for a baby change room: no bin, dark and the door is very very heavy, so hard to move when carrying a baby.

The staff are so very rude - they literally don't want to be there (as I was actually told by our young 'bartender' during our function!). He kept checking his phone and texting, never smiled or used any manners of any sort.

Everyone was commenting on how rude he was and the older female staff who cleared glasses, literally knocked people out of her way.

To make matters worse, I was very insulted and embarrassed by being told I couldn't have another drink when I went to buy a drink for my friend - she could have one and she literally had the same amount I did. Over 4 hours I had 4 drinks and a LOT of water in between.

Merry yes indeed - drunk/RSA'd - not a chance!

We were having fun catching up with people we hadn't seen in many many years - he literally ruined my evening being just so damn miserable. . I would never come back.
