Reviews
Love this café ... food never disappounts.
An absolute must whenever I'm in the neighbourhood.
Nice spot and the breakfast was nice. Had poached eggs on toast with tomato relish and a side of bacon for $15 with a coffee. No complaints here.
Menu is uninteresting and hasn't changed for a very long time. Prawn bisque (1 prawn) had a pleasant flavour but was only luke warm. The presentation of herb bread is very unappetizing, taste was ok. We asked for lime tart with ice cream instead of cream but were charged extra for the ice cream. The venue is lovely but it'll be a long time before we'd eat there again and I certainly would never recommend The Sanctuary Cafe as a place to have a meal.
Good coffee. Very nice pastry (lime tart). Pleasant staff. Clean, warm and inviting. The photographs on the walls are phenomenal.
Great relax atmosphere, attentive staff nothing to much for you for service plus a great cuper
Good food, friendly staff, off-street parking. Ken Duncan Gallery adjacent.
I visited the Sanctuary Cafe for a business meeting during the week and the staff were exceptionally accomodating and courteous. I would recommend them as a relaxed but professional place to meet.
We've been here quite a few times and enjoyed it. However, we had lunch there today, and standards seem to have slipped badly. My partners corn fritters were oily, tasteless and overdone, poorly presented, and served with sickly sweet relish and dried out salad leaves. My "salmon hot cakes" consisted of a thick, doughy pancake topped with the same dry spinach and single piece of very chewy salmon. My partner said his flat white was OK, but my cappuccino was undrinkable. Awful lunch, and expensive too. Not recommended.
Absolutely love the food, atmosphere and everything about this cafe.
