The Shabby Frog

I don't get much time to wear make up or even put any effort into my look. As I You Tube 'make up tips for women over 40' I quickly realize how many years have gone by. Here I am a single mum and sole carer to my chronically sick, high needs 11 year old son. And I well and truly look the part of someone who hasn't slept a full night in over a decade. I'm 40 and having my first ever art showcase this Thursday night. Dusting off the make up and boots, reaching into the dark ...far corners of the wardrobe where Ive not ventured since forever, maybe wear that expensive perfume I never use. A few tutorials later I hope to not look like a mum who usually spends most her time on the floor scrubbing poop. We special needs mums hit a new level of exhaustion which I'm hoping to hide on the night. I'm going from 'pj wearing daggy covered in paint or shit artist' to 'cool casual tidy, got my shit together artist' 😘 You're never too late, too tired or too busy to give yourself a real shot at something exciting. So I'm sitting at the kitchen table practicing my non existent make up skills. ❤
