The Swallowed Anchor Description
The Swallowed Anchor is the perfect place for a mid-week date or group booking for a night out. We offer a mixture of traditional and modern tapas with produce sourced from quality, local suppliers. Enjoy a range international and local vino with a selection of fan favourite and nautical inspired craft beers.
Owned by a couple of young Navy Veterans, we've tried to incorporate a little bit of our Navy life into the bar for you to experience. In Navy slang, to 'swallow the anchor' means to retire from the sea and settle down ashore.
So come and sit out in the sun with a cold pale ale and listen to some live music or relax on the lounges with a glass of red. We hope we can cater for whatever your looking for!

Great quality food. Never had such tender calamari. Rosemary fries were amazing. Variety platter of sliders were my favourite. All dishes were serves piping hot. Great job.
As a lover of Tapas enjoying them up and down the east coast of Australia I was so impressed to find The Swallowed Anchor 20 minutes from my home.
Spoilt for choice with the menu, fabulous selection of beverages, exceptional service and a wonderful background story of the owners hence Swallowed Anchor!

Once again we had a great experience, the Food was delicious!. The Kitchen staff did a great job tonight, even with being down a Chef on a busy Saturday Night, the Food was still at the same high standard. Really enjoyed our time. Great value for money, will be back soon.
