We are a group of TAFE students who have disabilities. We saw a need for the community to benefit from our experience with technology and to help others with disabilities. In the past we were known as the Tech Help Group (THG). Headed by a fellow student who had MS and formed the group to help others in need. We want to continue his work and to continue helping others in his name (Russel Cole) as he has passed away due to his illness.
We were teaching people, troubleshooting and helping with problems on technology such as laptops, desktops (Mac’s and Windows), tablets (android and iPad), Smart Phones (Windows Phone, iPhone, Android).
We were also researching software, internet providers, adaptive technology (e. g. Zoom text, CCTV, Voice software (Dragon)).
We were providing these services face to face and remotely.
