Greg Sheridan, long-time foreign editor at The Australian newspaper, will join a star-studded panel for the next QndA on Wednesday September 5. The panel will debate the question: Is God Good for You? Greg, pictured below with Boris Johnson, will be joined on stage by Fethi Mansouri, Professor in Migration and Intercultural Studies at Deakin University and Christine Wood, president of the St John Centre for Biblical Studies. If you would like to join the audience on the night please send your RSVP to www.nd.edu.au/QndA by September 3. The event begins at 6pm. Entry is free.

We extend a warm welcome to Professor David Kissane AC, who joins the Darlinghurst campus as the inaugural Chair of Palliative Medicine Research -- a joint appointment by Notre Dame and St Vincent's Hospital Group. Vice Chancellor Professor Celia Hammond said his arrival marked an exciting new chapter for the University. "This is an important Joint Appointment that will strengthen the University’s commitment to palliative medicine research and education, as well as clinical practice and advocacy," she said. Professor Kissane, a world authority in the area of palliative medicine, was previously Head of Psychiatry at Monash University.

Laura is a Nursing student who saved a life using CPR. Laura shares the incredible story of how her nursing skills allowed her to save a friend’s life.

Congratulations to Associate Professor Michael Wan who been has been elevated to a Fellowship of the Australia & New Zealand Association for Health Professional Educators (FANZAHPE) – the first person from The University of Notre Dame Australia to be conferred with such a title. Dr Wan, an interventional cardiologist by training, is Head of Basic and Clinical Sciences of Assessment in the School of Medicine in Sydney.

Aidan is a Commerce student, two-time Olympian and member of our Elite Athlete program. Aidan talks about life beyond water polo and how the Elite Athlete Program has help him juggle work, training and studies.
