Worst hostel ever. I booked for 4 month but they kicked me out after 6 weeks cause they need place for other people from a contractor
Really dirty hostel. Cleaned once a week, dead flies everywhere, commun toilets ground full of piss and dishes. Trash not empty for 3weeks.
The boss don't respect the hostel rules . I was away for 3 nights so i was supposed to pay half rent on nights and finally i paid full charge. I paid for an ensuite room, the sink was broken when i arrived i paid full charge and it had never been fixed.
People been accused to break the washmachine (but it was already broken before they arrived) and they wanted to charge extra on rent to fix it.
Irrespectfull to the customers thia hostel neets to change owner and management team.

When will you give security money back for visitors? You even didn't answer about text or e-mail. For you, that money may not be such a big, but for us that is big enough to get anger. It's already 3weeks delayed. I hope you will remedy this fault soon. Thank you

We lived here for 20 days when we worked at an apple farm in March/April. We booked 2 beds in a 4 bed room. When we arrived we were upgraded to a double room. The mattress was quite dirty, but the room was ok.
The toilets could be missing toilet paper for days sometimes, and the kitchen was not the cleanest.
The place had a nice pool table and a ping pong table. Overall, it's perfectly fine place to stay when you're working. It's cheap and because of that it's absolutely worth your money.

Like Andrew, I withdrew my labour over this place after being scolded with near boiling water in the showers which run red hot then cold. This was only the second time in over 42 years I've quit a job.
The Dorm I was in was shocking, no door, no secure storage for personal effects, one window stuck open and one missing, freezing cold and fitted radiators in rooms don't work. The place stunk of mildew and there is clear evidence of a leaking roof as what looks like asbestos sheeting on the ceiling is swelling badly. Yes it has been raining heavily in the area but if the building is watertight the moisture doesn't get in and you don't get mould and mildew.
There appears to be junk in many non-residential rooms and some of the facility was not working e.g. A shower room with no toilets showers or basins in it!
The place was near full for a shutdown at VISY paper mill nearby. Most people got pretty dirty and a grand total 3 communal showers, one working washing machine and one drier available for 20+ people to do ablutions and wash clothes daily after the shift.
On plus side, my mattress was reasonably comfortable (but others had complained to me that theirs was too thin) also the catered meals were of acceptable standard. However, rest assured I will never stay there again.
Might be a great place in summer months and would certainly be a great place if there was much more attention paid to the maintenance and cleaning and I respectfully suggest the owners bite the bullet, shut the place down and completely renovate it. Maybe do it half at a time?
I also suspect that the two four star ratings have maybe been written by 'the ghosts!!!'
I quit a job because I didn't like this accommodation it seem very unorganized and it seemed like a abandoned building that is scheduled for demolition or something the upside was the people were nice but the conditions of they facility needs a major renovation it's cold and smelly prisoners get better Living standards then what this place had to offer I'm sorry but I have rate this place one star if Gordon ramsay hotel nightmares was in Australia this place would be prefect for the show migth help it to lift it's standards i feel sorry for the people who have no choice but had to stay because they need the money from the job we where their for I bet they all secretly fell the same as I do in conclusion I'm not going to tell anyone not to stay at this place it's a experience they need to find out for them self.
