Thrifty

The wait time was horrendous. I had 2 small kids with me and we waited an hour in total to be served and for the car to be brought around. Staff were friendly and working hard but just too long to wait

Thanks to the team here. All friendly and smiles. However I m sure things get heated at these airport rental places, but fortunately for me it was a Sunday pick up of their tesla model s so not the usual rush.

I rented the car for two days. However they were so unkindly people.

No smile
No explain
No information.

I am so disappointed.

The staff at Sydney airport, although efficient, did not greet me in any way that could be considered friendly or even good business practice. As I approached the counter, the young women said- "Your licence!" in an abrupt voice and bored manner. There was no smile, no 'hello' or 'how was your flight?' or 'welcome to Sydney'. Not a way to welcome international visitors to Sydney (or indeed any visitor). After producing my licence for her, she then proceeded to tell me the expenses I would be liable for in the event of damage to the car... no queries about what I had already done ( I had taken additional insurance at the time of booking) or if I was happy with my cover. She was abrupt, rude and unfriendly. Fortunately the young man who helped me get my rental car out of a tight spot (where it was parked in by other vehicles) was most helpful, skilful and polite. The rental vehicle was excellent - brand new and exactly what we wanted.This was at the Thrifty pickup point, not in the terminal proper, as that office was closed.

Please if youre looking for review ,I highly wanted to review this place the worst of all. I delivered the van after renting... and a team member came and didnt even say anything, just asked for the key and looked the van, i ask him if he knows where i can go for taking uber?he said( i dont even know what he said, too low voice i could hear) more or less i heard"dont know"and turned back., and today, i called the area again, i was confused for the payment process and want to confrim how it was charged, another team member replied as if i made her work for extra hour without pay... let alone making me clear about the payment, i hung up atleast not for them, but for me to end up my relation with "Thrifty" for ever....

Ps- (to thrifty "some staff" sydney domestic airport )sorry if your having a bad day at work, atleast prented to be nice with next customer.. if you think you cannot, then just move on, look for another job where you dont have to interact with customer.

Lady at the counter in the car park building had the worst attitude and did not put customers as a priority. Answered our questions louder and louder with such a disgusted attitude. Answered questions that she was not suppose to because my family was talking to myself and was irrelevant to her and was just completely rude

The worst car rental company.
The cars too old extremely dirty.
The most important thing is that they will change you.

All staff from pre reservation customer service through to post rental were fantastic! As it is a busy airport we allowed plenty of time to return the car, so we weren't delayed for check in and boarding. I was nervous after reading all the negative feedback about the airport depot but was extremely happy and had a very positive experience. I will absolutely use Thrifty for airport car hire in the future! A special thanks to Catherine for her friendly, professional help - you're a star! And the free upgrade was a very nice surprise. Thank you!

Confusing drop of situation at Sydney airport. No details on the booking as to where to go so used Google which leads you to the domestic terminal.... then it's $6 bus fair to get to the international terminal! Might want to look into that one boys. And perhaps cover the 12 bucks I had to pay to get to the right building! Could have used the cash to get me a tasty gin & tonic before my flight! :(

Worst place after renting for so long all they do is trouble for me and stuff me up and had been in urgent need to rent car and they bloked my file and was no reaon but for some mistake and they ruined my day never will go thru them i will pay double then go with them

Will never use thrifty again. Rude staff. I realised 5 minutes after I left the vehicle that I had left my head phones in but went back and sure enough they were 'no longer in the vehicle'. Front office didn't care less and Ivan in the car park was very unhelpful.
