Thunderbird Motel

Large room which is nicely furnished, comfortable bed and a big bathroom which has a separate bath as well as a shower. Would definitely recommend as a comfortable and pleasant stay in Yass.

Very busy and extremely popular with mostly regular guests. A motel with so many regulars says how good the motel is.
Many come for the restaurant which provides unbelievably brilliant food. Every dish on the menu is first class. I’ve tried them all. The desserts are a statement! Presentation is wonderful and staff are fantastic.
Yes it closes at 9 and sometimes a little earlier. For the overly demanding guest this might be an issue! Don’t expect management to run a chef and four staff just in case you’re hungry at 9pm.
This is definitely the best restaurant and motel anywhere near Yass.

And internet is lightning fast. A new wifi system has been installed and achieves 60Mbit speeds. Unlimited and easy.

quiet & peaceful yet high quality. wouldn't stay anywhere else while in the Area.

Room was clean / well presented. Overall it was a positive experience. However two things let this place down, 1 - the complimentary internet was INCREDIBLY slow. 2 - I was told their restaurant is quite good, but it was closed at 8:45pm on a Saturday evening. Yass being the mid point between sydney/melb I would expect that a lot of travellers would appreciate a later closing time for the restaurant. Overall it was a nice/clean/quiet room which is probably the most important thing

Great little place. Stayed here for the easter long weekend for 2 nights. Rooms clean and really friendly staff. The hosts are great people. Definitely staying here again for the queens birthday long weekend.
