TOKI CONSTRUCTION - WHO WE ARE

Toki Construction has established itself as a Sydney based residential building and construction company.
With the coming together of the company directors Sean Mcaneney and Adam Smith who are both carpenters by trade met while working on some of Sydney’s most prestigious architectural builds. We soon recognised a mutual enthusiasm for architectural building and wanting to make our own mark on the Sydney building scene and build a Brand.
From there it evolved organically, relying on a reputation based for a hands-on approach to construction, with a practical and innovative aim to surpass our clients' expectations for time, cost and quality. Today we have a fantastic Team of enthusiastic hardworking polite staff all who have complimentary experience and skill sets that are proud of being part of the Toki team.
We often get asked about our company name. Toki was chosen as a symbolic name to reflect our New Zealand origins and is a name for a Maori adze /axe traditionally used for carving, carpentry and even sometimes a weapon. The ornate adzes were wielded by strong Maori chiefs in the tribe and were purely ceremonial. The head piece of the Toki which has the appearance of a chisel blade made of either green stone or bone was traditionally worn by Māori elders and today by many as an ornament said to represent strength power and wisdom, all strong true attributes we strive for as a company for.
