Tokkuri Sake Wine Bar

Very expensive for what it was. Korean / Indonesian chefs - I wouldn't say this is an authentic Japanese. Yakitori was good... everything else was really so so. I don't recommend this place.

Wow, just wow! Definitely one of the best Japanese restaurants I have ever been to! Their special (seasonal) fatty tuna belly is so delicious and juicy, and definitely better than other venues that do serve it (very rare find!). The vegetable tempura was amazing and their mains are equally scrumptious.

I truly, highly, seriously recommend this restaurant, it is absolutely worth a visit!

The service was great with attentive staff familiar with the menu regularly checking in to make sure we didn't need anything else or just to top up our water. The atmosphere is great with the candle lighting and cushions. Most importantly the Wagyu garlic steak, scallops and tuna sushi was brilliant. Couldn't find a single thing to fault about this restaurant.

First dish came out raw - yes I know it's a Japanese restaurant (albeit Korean run), but it was not sashimi, it was eggplant. Some dishes were OK, but not worth the fairly hefty price tag. We were waiting nearly an hour for simple tempura from when we ordered it and were told that the kitchen was "very busy" despite the restaurant only being half full. I'm not sure of the management has changed, but certainly not what I remember it to be. Will not return, and could not recommend.

Average service but very slow it took 30 minutes for just a glass of sprite. But the food is good and is family friendly with a dash of fancy with it.

Food was interesting in a good way (fusion). Although I prefer traditional Japanese. The mood was nice and service prompt. Went using a Groupon voucher so price was fine but would I dine here if I had to pay RRP? Definitely not.
