Toomey Defence Lawyers was established in 2011 by Sophie Toomey, a Sydney-based solicitor with more than a decade of experience in both Criminal Law and Traffic Law.

Sophie believes everyone has the right to be legally represented by someone with the expertise necessary to achieve the best possible outcome. She works with a small and dedicated team, and offers a comprehensive service that starts with your first phone call.

Acting in cases covering all aspects of Criminal and Traffic Law, Sophie has vast experience in Local, District and Appellate courts. She has also successfully conducted hundreds of bail applications.

Sophie is on the Legal Aid serious crime panel, so is able to represent clients in the Supreme Court, Court of Criminal Appeal and NSW District Court. She can advise on your eligibility for Legal Aid and can appear in matters at any Sydney or rural NSW court.
