Very buzy and extremely packed during peak hours. You can get almost everything around here, however the underground gets really hot during summer time.

Lots of good things nearby. Access Darling harbour from here as well. VERY busy and crowded at peak hours. Forms part of underground shopping area.

Superb place to come and hang around this area. U can almost get everything in this area from shopping to food. If you are meeting up your friends here, be sure to tell the exact location, exit and landmark. Lots of exit here from the train station.

This train station is very interesting. The people you meet, the places you can go, and the proximity to the heart of the city is wonderful. And some say it is good luck if you throw a beggar a gold coin! So have your gold coins ready here, cos theres one on every bloody corner!

The gateway to shopping in Sydney if you do not want to drive to the City. This is the ideal place stop to go to for the Galleries, Queen Victoria Building and Westfield Sydney. If you want to avoid the rush of people plan your trip so you arrive after 10am, and leave before 4pm, or leave after 6pm. If you do not want to be a canned Sardine, do your planning. The fare to Town Hall is relatively cheap from all areas (if you go off-peak) and their are always trains departing to various destinations. Just be sure to familiarise yourself with the layout; for a newcomer, it may be daunting.

Really hot because surrounding buildings apparently vent into here. They've also blocked off the south side so you need a ticket or opal card to go from one side of George St to the other underground...except the Opal gates won't let you enter and leave unless you wait a minute or something, so it's a massive pain in the ass. The platforms get very crowded, and people like to sit on the steps during rush hour for some inexplicable reason.

User

A bit crazy if you're not familiar with the place. Had great experience with the staff when i dropped my phone on the tracks. Couldn't be more happier with how the assistance.

First the good, the trains are frequent and punctual.
It goes badly after that. Hot, smelly, poor quality air in the lower platforms. For those with mobility issues there is an elevator but it's well hidden and the crowds can be problematic. The signs are meaningful only if you already know what they mean which renders most of them useless so be prepared to ask one of the station employees.
