About Transport For Nsw

We're a New South Wales government organisation leading the group of transport agencies and divisions that keep NSW moving. With over 25, 000 people working right across NSW, we drive the continual development of safe, integrated and efficient transport systems such as road, rail and maritime networks. We're committed to delivering better transport for the future of NSW, shaping our cities, centres and communities for generations to come. Right now, we're delivering an ambitious and once-in-a-generation $72. 2 billion program of public infrastructure works – the largest transport infrastructure program in Australia's history. That means more job opportunities than ever before in metropolitan and regional areas right across the state – and your chance to make a lasting impact that will benefit generations to come. If you think Transport for NSW is home only to engineers, tradies and mechanics, think again. We've got roles you may not expect to see at Transport – from drone operators to graphic designers, Crash Lab technicians to boating safety officers, bridge engineers to demand planners, and all kinds of experts in between. In an organisation that's as large, diverse and dynamic as Transport for NSW, there are thousands of opportunities. But it's not just about what we do – it's the way that we do it. We're taking a new approach to the way we work. We're embracing new technology and new ways of working. We're building an open work culture where our people from a diverse range of backgrounds can thrive and continue to innovate. The road ahead is full of possibility and there's plenty of work to do. We need great people to help us get it done.

Public Transport. I go on a NSW Train every business day from Helensburgh to Wollongong and back. This review is more targeted at the afternoon train, heading Northbound. The trains commonly have bugs on them, including flies, moths and cockroaches. Your northern trains are overcrowded but the one I am on right now isn't (4-07 to 4-42) They are clean.

If you are over fifty years of age don't bother applying for any job. Even if you have the finest qualifications & experience they will not employ an older person.

Example: If you manage to to get an interview they ask a series of questions that no person can ever be a 100% correct. And as you are an older person and they don't want to be seen as discrimatory they will focus on minor points where you faltered and then this provides their reason for not employing you and provides the basis for your feedback. If you can get someone to actually answer their phone to actually provide feedback.
Diversity and Inclusion in name only where corruption thrives under this leftist "Liberal" government.

Have to call like 20 times to talk to them. They give me an impression that everyone here is on holiday full time. Staff are rude and unprofessional. Corrupted! No wonder transport in NSW is one of the worst in the world. The only way to fix transport problems is through privatisation. That way people will actually do the work and care for the society.

Don't use public transport all that often... but the service was good, on time, relatively efficient, and cheap..... Too many people on here with petty whines... The system manages to move millions annually... The Metro will be better, less involvement by organisations that prevent change....

As always you suck on so many levels

Most horrid service. Discrimation based on age and state of origin. 3 hrs of shunting an 83 yo around stations because staff at airport made a mistake. If cards lasted longer than 30 days wouldn't be a problem. Only category they expire on is seniors. Yep 83 yo is really likely to get younger. Today told to go to Circular Quay - they could fix it. No. Then they expected 83 yo to walk to Central!! Just crappy all round and great for tourism. Now she is too tired and sore to do anything but cry. Big scam to keep the $10 put on yesterday. NSW must be bankrupt to devise ways to older from the elderly.

I haven't actually been here, but the rule on train stations that doesn't allow riding bikes, scooters, skateboards, or skates is somewhat unnecessary. I have not been fined over this, but I have been told several times not to do so. I am very careful, scan to avoid collisions, and ride slowly often with my foot hovering over the ground to reduce breaking distance.

Great transport

Am sitting on a train at Central, been here for 30 min, no driver. Absolutely ridiculous.
