Treblemakers Music Description

The Treble Makers music development programs are designed for children between the ages of 5 to 12. Our aim is to teach children music theory which includes learning sight-reading, sight-singing, aural and rhythm skills.

Our approach will improve your child’s ability to understand and retain information; this includes fun and interactive classroom activities which encourage student participation and team building.

We providing a nurturing environment that encourages children to build their confidence and develop their musical skills. This will improve their ongoing commitment and dedication to learn and achieve.

Lesson Structure
10 minute Private Q & A before class for students
1 hour Music Theory Lesson
10 minute Performance Workshop following the Music Theory Lesson

Learning Outcomes and Objectives
1. Ability to recognise, describe and explain basic musical terms and concepts
2. Understanding of musical notation; ability to identify the pitch class (note names), duration (note values) and definite pitch of different music notes.
3. Ability to clap indicated rhythms in time by counting beats and identifying rhythmic patterns.
4. Understanding of key signatures, time signatures, treble clef, bass clef and accidentals.
5. Ability to identify different musical instruments based on the tone colour of the instrument.
6. Ability to use deductive logic to problem solve
7. Development of communication skills
