Great Caltex truck stop. Always cheap fuel, great cafe full or casual meals. Showers and plenty of truck parking. Very friendly staff.

Its a good truck stop. Showers, laundry and a good feed.

The idea of having to deposit $20 for a shower key is obsurd. No other roadhouse in the entire country has this practice.
Im not one of these Hume hwy general freight robots. I drive all over this country, open flat tray specialised freight. So how come the hundreds of other roadhouses from Perth to Darwin and FNQ , ignition keys are sufficient ?
The pre prepared food is ridiculously expensive. Example: a tiny little plastic tub the size of your palm with pasta salad in it. Cost $9.90.
Not enough parking for a major capital city roadhouse. If your there after 6.30, forget it.
Access is one way in, one way out, you cant do laps , once you exit you have to go right around the block, which has a rounabout and 3 sets of traffic lights.
The cook staff are rude as well.

Food and service is excellent. Only thing that lets it down is the pumps are slow

The rude girls behind the food counter need some lessons in being polite, they are built like wharfie and act like it to, very defensive and rude when they get your order WRONG. They accused me of changing my mind half way through the order, that's why they got it wrong, if it wasn't for the boss wanting to buy fuel there, I wouldn't put the place out if it was on fire, it's a dump

The only way i would have enjoyed the nice hot shower i had here more was if the hot young lady at the fuel console had joined me
