Undercover Artist Festival

About Undercover Artist Festival

Undercover Artist Festival was the first arts and disability festival of its kind in Queensland. Our vision is to curate a unique program of works that embraces inclusivity and forefronts diversity.

Undercover Artist Festival Description

Break the boundaries. Bend the rules. There are no limits as we unfurl Undercover Artist Festival 2017!

Artists, both emerging and professional, are encouraged to contribute to an immersive, enchanting and empowering experience that ignites our collective belief that art is for everybody.

ABOUT:

Access Arts developed the idea in consultation with a range of artists experiencing disability, arts workers who work with artists experiencing disability and Access Arts Members. Collectively these artists and individuals expressed a need for greater presentation opportunities for professional performing artists with disability and better representation in the industry, particularly by Australia’s Major Performing Arts Companies.

With that, Undercover Artist Festival was born! Led by founding Festival Director Belinda Locke, a theatre-maker and arts worker who identifies as experiencing disability, artists from across Australia were able to showcase their work at a multi-arts festival accessible to all artists and audiences.

2017 PROGRAM:
