he lady at the consulate in Sydney was unnecessarily rude and abrupt when I called… I told her as much and she said “thank you for the constructive criticism but I can't help the way I talk."

No one is picking up the phone 12:23pm

phoned three times at 10am (when says open at 9) messaged said closed twice and third time the phone just rang out with no answer.
i've only given it 1 star cos the system made me

Really good service....When you have a passport emergency and need advice, no one answers the phone....ever

Why can't we talk to someone at the consulate?

Why don't they answer the phone..? It's only 11:35am

What's the point of having a phone line if no one ever answers it? You've been open for over an HOUR. Hire a person to sit by the phone or get rid of that option.
