UoN Catholic Society provides a forum for students wanting to learn more about Catholicism, grow in faith & be encouraged by other Catholics.
Mass: Wednesday 12. 10pm, UoN Chaplaincy
Weekly gathering: 6pm at Sacred Heart Cathedral (after 5pm Mass)
Uon Catholic Society Description
We are a group of young Catholics trying to live out the message of God in our everyday lives.
In our Society we aim to:
-Be the face and presence of the Catholic Church at the University of Newcastle.
-Provide regular on-campus opportunities for worship, formation and communal gathering and, in doing so;
-Foster the spiritual and social wellbeing of its members, empowering them to become a community of evangelisers searching for God in all aspects of life.
-Seek opportunities for social justice, ecumenism and inter-faith dialogue that celebrate and recognise the presence of God in our wider community.
Feel free to contact us to get involved, or drop in to the Chaplaincy opposite Huxley Library and have a chat to the Catholic Chaplains on campus.
