The UTS Business Society is the peak student run organisation for business career networking and faculty wide social events. http://www. utsbsoc.com/

Founded in 2010, the Society is run by students from all year levels. With the mandate to ‘enrich the social life and career aspirations of UTS Business students’, we know to provide the social events that students want. With the support of the UTS Business School and Corporate Sponsors like the CA ANZ, CPA Australia, KPMG & Deloitte we can give students the networking opportunities they need.

If you want to be taught the skills that employers want, by the employers themselves, you’ll want to join. If you want to make new friends and meet heaps of other students at the Orientation Camp, you’ll want to join too. The UTS Business Society is for all students, so get involved and make your time at UTS a real success.

The UTS Business Society is a non-profit organisation and as per the Australian Taxation Office and its criteria for income tax exemption:

The assets and income of the organisation shall be applied solely in furtherance of its above-mentioned objects and no portion shall be distributed directly or indirectly to the members of the organisation except as reimbursement for expenses incurred in their entirety on behalf and for the furtherance of the organisation.

In the event of the organisation being dissolved, the amount that remains after such dissolution and the satisfaction of all debts and liabilities shall be transferred to another organisation, with similar purposes which is not carried on for the profit or gain of its individual members. In the case of the UTS Business Society, this amount would be transferrable to UTS Activate.
