Uts Glucose Monitoring Study

Do you have type 2 diabetes and live near Sydney? We would like you to wear a small heart-rate monitor for 90-minutes while you enjoy a meal of your choice near UTS. Participants will be reimbursed for their time. Contact Luke on (Ph) 0410724067.

Participants needed to investigate a technology which could potentially measure blood glucose levels (BGLs) in real time without a blood test!

Interested in learning about your metabolism? Think you might be at risk of diabetes? This study will measure your BGLs (by fingerprick test) every 3 hours across a 6-hour period. Take the chance to become more aware of your health!

You are free to work, study, and eat as you normally would in between measurements. Recordings are all conducted at the University of Technology, Sydney. Participants aged 18-69, with or without diabetes are all welcome.

Financial remuneration is available for participants with type 1 or type 2 diabetes.

This study has been approved by the University of Technology, Sydney Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC: 2014000110). If you have any complaints or reservations about any aspect of your participation in this research which you cannot resolve with the researcher, you may contact the Ethics Committee through the Research Ethics Officer (ph: 02 9514 9615, Research. Ethics@uts. edu. au) and quote the UTS HREC reference number. Any complaint you make will be treated in confidence and investigated fully and you will be informed of the outcome.
