After the 10-week course, our beginners passed the club's internal grading, and have officially advanced to the intermediate class!! Congratulations! We are excited to welcome all new members into our kendo family!

The 43rd Australian Kendo Championships concluded today, and we are proud to announce that the New South Wales Team have brought back quite a number of medals.

Notice: Tomorrow's training will be cancelled due to the sports hall closing for Easter. For those who are interested, we encourage you all to come to Auburn PCYC to watch the AKC team competitions, and support our NSW team. The event starts from 9am to 5:30pm, hope to see you there!

Over the weekend the NSW State Championships took place at USYD Cumberland Campus in Lidcombe. The UTS Kendo Club is excited to announce the 2018 UTS Kendo Seminar and Open Shield Competition from the 3 to 4 of February 2017 in Sydney, Australia. One day seminar on the 3 of February will be hosted by two world renown Hanshi Hachi (8) Dan Senseis, Toru KAMEI Sensei and Kazuo FURUKAWA Sensei. The second day on the 4 of February will be an opportunity for players to test their skills learned from the seminar.
This is a great opportunity for all Kendoka players to learn f...rom the best in Japan as well as furthering Kendo skill and technique.

Only a week away from UTS Clubs Day (3rd of August)! If you are interested in trying out kendo this spring semester, come and join us at UTS Kendo!
We have a spring beginner's course that runs for 10 weeks where we will teach you the basics of kendo along with techniques and etiquette. We welcome everyone to join the course! :D
... The course is $50 for UTS students & $80 for non-UTS students. The fee includes a FREE shinai (bamboo sword) and a semester's worth of membership. We also offer the first lesson for FREE.

Hey guys, just a little update. Our training sessions are now back on this Friday (7pm - 10pm) at the Ross Milbourne Sports Hall.
If you are beginner and would like to learn kendo during the uni break; you're more than welcome to join! Just shoot us a message when you're coming along and we will get you sorted out on your first lesson ^.^
