UTS: ARCCIM sits within the School of Public Health, UTS. Leading an extensive and unique research program ‘from bench to bedside to community' with many professional /community /industry partners. Largest # of CIM PH PhDs in Australia. ARCCIM has founded and leads 4 international research leadership programs (>60 ECRs), has published over 800 manuscripts to date abd attracted 16 NHMRC /ARC grants including 6 NHMRC Fellowships valued at >$5M. ARCCIM houses the top 2 ranked CIM researchers in the world and is itself externally ranked as world #1 CIM research Centre in the field. Our mission statement: - To provide national and international leadership regarding critical and trans-disciplinary public health and health services research that contributes to our understanding of the safety, efficacy and cost-effectiveness of traditional, complementary and integrative medicine use and practice within health care systems. - To subject traditional, complementary and integrative medical practice and use to rigorous research methods and critical perspectives in order to provide a broad evidence-base for patient care and health policy. - To produce, disseminate and implement research findings and interventions around traditional, complementary and integrative medicine that are impactful and that help inform best world practice and policy for stakeholders involved in community health as well as health service delivery and management. To increase the depth and breadth of research capacity in relation to critical trans-disciplinary traditional, complementary and integrative medicine enquiry amongst both researchers and practitioners. - To help guide and advance curriculum development and learning futures around the critical public health of traditional, complementary and integrative health care.
