At Verge Collaborative we are committed to developing, resourcing and supporting the growing mental health workforce in Australia, including the enhancement of a much need peer workforce comprising people with personal experiences of mental health challenges and recovery.

Our vision is for an Australian mental health system that offers healing and hope to people experiencing mental or psychological distress, and a positive approach to increasing social and emotional wellbeing for all Australians.

We foresee enormous opportunity to build the capacity of the mental health workforce, through inspiration, empowerment, support and resourcing. Meeting the mental health needs of the population requires an empowered, empathic and creative workforce of individuals committed to contemporary mental health principles regarding recovery, trauma, diversity, collaboration and co-design.

We believe that investing in frontline workers and their first line managers now, has the potential to create ripple effects throughout the mental health system that will generate recognisable shifts in practice in the next ten years and beyond.
