No regrets was my life motto in my 20's. It served me well, until it didn't.
... Recently I've been contemplating on meaning, purpose, where and how it all started. You know, all the good stuff.
It reminded me that it all starts from us as children. Research shows that who we are simply the child between 0-7 in a grown up body, until we aren't.
One life lesson that has served me incredibly well in my 30s is the power of choice. "To choose because you choose is the ultimate form of freedom." Victor Trieu
Steven Covey, best-selling author, and known for 7 Habits of Highly Effective People (my very first personal development book) says: "But until a person can say deeply and honestly, 'I am what I am today because of the choices I made yesterday,' that person cannot say, 'I choose otherwise'."
And I'm always amazed at the life lessons we learn as children. One of my favourite pastimes was watching cartoons. Looking back into my childhood I already learnt this lesson on choice from Alice, just another way.
