Village Lane Cafe & Wine Bar

Waited for ages for drinks. No water offered. Entrées were cold and one did not arrive. ...Not enough staff... yet to ejoy mains could be here for a while......

The extremely long wait, lack of communication, the poor service from staff, and a terrible plate of food means that I won't be coming back here. Nor can I recommend to anyone to go to this establishment.

I was really looking forward to eating at the Village Lane but the experience was far from good.

This restaurant is tucked away in a lane and on a sunny day it looked spectacular. A lot of indoor and outdoor seating is available.

No one greeted us as we waited at the doorway and we opted to sit on the couches and wait for the wait staff to give us directions. I didn't think it would take so long as more than half the tables were empty. As no one acknowledged us we ended up chosing our own table after 5 minutes. I should've taken the lack of communication as a sign of things to come.

After deciding on the food choices we waited for someone to stop at our table. I figured that we had to order at the counter but when I got there I was informed that it was table service (protip for anyone else). I asked for someone to come by ours and a few minutes later someone came by.

I've never waited for food anywhere for this long. After 45 minutes we asked for someone to figure out where our food was. At 1 hour, I asked for the bill. Amusingly, the food came out at the same time as our bill arrived. We were apologised to when it came out. I tucked into my food and for waiting so long I was very surprised for it to be lukewarm. The only warm element of my big breakfast was the field mushroom. The same story for the pancakes and the vege big breakfast. Pancakes were missing elements that were on the menu.

Excellent food. Nice service. Both cafe area and restaurant hall are nice and relaxing.

Great cafe to have a meal throughout the day. Awesome staff. For a meal as close to home cooking as your going to get from a cafe, with the safistication of a Sydney CBD cafe in Camden. Village lane Cafe Camden is the only place to visit.

Great food and family friendly with a relaxed atmosphere and attentive staff.

Fantastic little cafe with great coffee and snagging food, placed in a nice cost corner in Camden which may be a little too close to an adjacent car park, but on a perfect day sitting outside and having a bite was great for family and friends.
