If You don't want to be smashed in the face by massive egos when you enter the door then this place is better than most gym's in the area , good sauna and cold pool too!

It is disappointing if you are not young and fit. For the over 60s there is not much available. I was joined up for about 2 years then had a 2 year break, rejoined last year but have now decided to leave. Exit fee of $200 as well.

Member since February 2009, still go regularly and enjoy!

I hated gyms, seriously I did. But not now. Love this place.
Great equipment, great classes. Could not be happier. Great weights room, sauna & spa.

Would be 5 stars if opened longer on weekends.
10pm close friday and 7pm minimum weekends would be amazing

So far so good, experience, but value for money with the wide rage classes.

The classes are great and the place is HUGE!
Pros:
- So many things to do, all the equipment you would expect, pool, spa sauna, cafe, rock climbing wall and classes
- So many classes
- Cool online booking system
- I feel they actually motivate you to turn up, unlike other places.
- Almost never have to wait to use anything

Cons:
- Expensive
- Hardly any around. Wish there were a few more I could access in other suburbs.
- Classes fill up quick, if you don't book early.
- Can get rather busy at times
- Car park can become full
- Friday and Saturday hours could be a little later

Very poor customer service and unorganised team.
My son was moved to different hours /days without any notification. He was pulled out of the session half way through and was transferred to another session because they remembered all of a sudden he has gone up one level! He was put with kids double his age to learn swimming. In general I do not recommend them at all. I'm going to give Carla's swimming a try.

Although my personal trainer Daniel is so skilled in providing the most up-to-date fitness techniques with a smile and empathy; the Virgin Active has state of the art facilities, but its AQUA pool is cold and it is a dread to enter, especially with the onslaught of colder days! Would be grateful if this could be rectified and the pool is maintained at body temperature!

Good facilities. Ok staff. Very limited opening hours! Weekend close at 6 PM. Are you kidding?

Very dissatisfied with punishment policy for forgetting to cancel a class. 1 month of no bookings while still debiting $31.00 a week , i sent an email and got a response that a manager was going to get back to me that was 5 days ago . Im still shocked at 1 month whilst they have pocketed
$124.00 . Besides that great classes.

I joined specifically to go to classes, as advised on my initial tour of the club. There are never any spots in any of the classes I am able to attend, I complained about this multiple times to the staff there and was always assured more classes were coming - they didn't. I went to cancel and was advised I have to pay the cancellation fee as well as another direct debit. They advised they are too big to cater for individual members needs, but not big enough to waive fee's when they did not hold up their end of the contract. If you want to actually be helped on your fitness journey, and not just be another face in the crowd, this is definitely not the gym for you.
