I can't speak highly enough of the staff at Wallsend Veterinary Clinic this week.
Our cockatiel was motionless on the bottom of the cage when we arrived.
The concern and care given to our tiny patient was amazing from the nurse at reception to the two vets and practice staff that attended to him.
With the treatment given and instructions on how to administer, what we were given to use at home, against all odds, our bird was back on his highest perch and talking to us by the next afternoon.

Couldn't ask for a more caring or dedicated team of professionals. The quality of care given to both of my dogs and our cat has been outstanding thank you all.

I called up when my little pup started vomiting. The nurse was very caring and supportive over the phone. They fitted my little Pugsy in straight away and he recovered well after a short stay with fluids and medication. Such caring and switched on vets and nurses. Thank you

After visiting several local vets that charged a small fortune to fix my rabbit with no successful outcome, I've finally found the perfect vets that not only have established the cause of issues with my animal, they have shown they care more for the animals than the money. It's refreshing to see such wonderful and caring staff and I only wish I had been recommended to see them sooner. Cannot recommend enough.

a very busy place good for grooming and all veterinary needs.. I have always been given details and the dogs are ay ease there. I travel to get there out of my choice, they are very holistic about the care they give.

Is your pet protected against ticks?
A warm winter has meant the traditional "summer" tick season is extending all year round. Newcastle and the whole of NSW is in drought, but when rain eventually comes our way, ticks will thrive following warm temperatures and downpours.
Bravecto or Nexguard for dogs and Frontline Spray for cats are our recommendations to keep your pets safe (with the added bonus of flea protection). If you need any advice, please message us or call on 4951... 4222 to chat to our team.
Here is a picture for identification of our worst offender in Newcastle: the paralysis tick!

Did you know acupuncture can quickly relieve muscular pain? Here we see Dr David using this simple, traditional form of Chinese medicine on Flight the Sheltie, who is experiencing neck and lumbar spine discomfort.
Wallsend Vet Newcastle is one of the only clinics in the wider Hunter region treating animals with acupuncture.

We had a blast at the Wallsend Winter Fair yesterday with our old mates, Cat in the Hat and Wally the Wolf! We marched in the Grand Parade in front of Ronald McDonald (who, may we add, has not aged a day! 🤔) Did you see us? We love spending time with the Wallsend community everyday, and especially enjoy joining the festivities of this annual celebration for our local township. #wallsendwinterfair #wallsendcommunity #grandparade #welovenewcastle #catinthehat #animals #ronaldmcdonald #supportingourcommunity #wallsendvetnewcastle #yourdevotedcompanions @ Wallsend Vet Newcastle

This adorable ball of fluff is Cupcake the Mini-Lop 🐰 and he is 12 YEARS OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here he is in recovery yesterday, after he had his long teeth trimmed to aid in his eating.
He is wrapped in blankets for warmth and being syringe-fed Critical Care paste - which is highly nutritious and encourages digestive movement.

Because of Her, we can!
NAIDOC Week is held annually to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
This year's NAIDOC week theme celebrates the essential role that women have played - and continue to play - as active and significant role models at the community, local, state and national levels.
... 'As pillars of our society, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women have played – and continue to play - active and significant roles at the community, local, state and national levels.
As leaders, trailblazers, politicians, activists and social change advocates, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women fought and continue to fight, for justice, equal rights, our rights to country, for law and justice, access to education, employment and to maintain and celebrate our culture, language, music and art.
Their achievements, their voice, their unwavering passion give us strength and have empowered past generations and paved the way for generations to come.
Because of her, we can!' -https://www.naidoc.org.au/get-involved/2 018-theme

I bought my puppy in yesterday for a checkup as she had been ill and i was treated so horribly. The nurse that saw us was very unproffessional and very rude!

I was disgraced when she denied us the option of using zipmoney and then proceeded to say if we didnt have money we should not have bought a dog.

I then got out my cash to pay, the bill was for $109, i paid with $120 cash, the horrible lady then said if she had of known i had $120 on me she would of charged me that instead of the cheaper price.

So appalling, so unproffessional and so RUDE! I will never ever bring my dog or any animal back here for that matter.
