Weave Youth & Community Services

Weave Youth & Community Services is a non-profit organisation working with children, young people, women & families facing complex social issues.

Weave Youth & Community Services provides a range of services to socially excluded young people, women and families who live primaly in the old South Sydney Local Government Area as well as the Maroubra /La Perouse and Inner West regions.

Our Programs provide:

(a) Education and training for young people at risk of
leaving school, and for those who are unemployed
and need work-readiness skills.

(b) Casework and counselling for young people with both
a drug /alcohol problem and mental illness.

(c) A regular on the ground presence in the local
community to assist with identifying young people
at risk and then working with them to help resolve
their problems.

(d) Assistance to young people who have offended or
at risk of offending under the juvenile justice system.

(e) Internet access and IT training for all ages in the
local community.

(f) Services for women and girls who are in need of a
range of support.

(g) Leadership opportunities for young people to
become involved in their local community

(h) Developing creative programs around social justice
issues.

(i) Developmental and recreational programs for children
aged 7-13 in the La Perouse area.
